90% discount on expert consultants for Ghanaian companies to grow their business

IIA & FMO to offer Ghanaian companies EY consultants at a heavily subsidised rate.

Invest in Africa has signed a contract with Dutch Development Bank FMO to fund the Business Accelerator Programme (BAP), that will support over 80 growth-oriented businesses in Ghana.

FMO’s extra funding will give companies the opportunity to access heavily subsidised at more than 90% discount EY (Ernst & Young) senior consultants to sit with business owners to design and implement key systems and structures necessary for greater efficiency and sustainable growth.

Ghanaian companies will also have access to EY Management Master Class Workshops to empower executive teams on how to manage their companies towards sustainable profits.

IIA Ghana Manager Sam Brandful stated: “this is a great opportunity for companies in Ghana to be able to afford international consultants to sit in their business and provide step-by-step support on how to grow their business from local to global.”

The FMO funded BAP will slot into IIA’s other business support programmes, including the Business Linkage Programme (business excellence training, mentorship and production capabilities consultancy funded by AfDB’s private sector arm FAPA) and the African Partner Pool, Ghana’s first private sector online database that connects local business to supply chains of global corporations.

To apply for the BAP applicants must be:

  • Registered and operating in Ghana for over 1 year in active business
  • Registered on the African Partner Pool
  • Employing more than 3 employees
  • Committed to improving their business
  • Turning over less than $15m
  • Willing to contribute 2% of consultancy cost (FMO subsidies 98% of consultancy costs)
